Welcome to Big Chiefs!
Our biggest project remains Firewood for the Poor. Several years ago some logging companies came through the area and in their wake left a huge mess. We contact the landowners that were affected and offer to go in and clean up the trees left behind on the ground. We then cut it for firewood and give to those that use it for heating their homes. We claim no status, nor are affiliated with any group or organization. We are just a few volunteers trying to make a difference without all the red tape and restrictions that would keep us from being effective and successful.
We also take the members camping, fishing, and hiking—as well as involve them in other activities. Our goals are to instill some good ol’ fashioned values, manners, and respect.
Big Chiefs will provide an environment and opportunity for everyone to learn and become a valued team member. We will challenge each individual to learn, achieve, and succeed. We are committed to providing guidance during the intellectual, physical, and social growth in a safe and challenging atmosphere. To that end, we dedicate ourselves to encouraging all members to become productive citizens in our society.
